Hi Guys,
Had my C230K serviced last Monday, (A service 75000 miles - 824 sobs - ).
They replaced the fuel filter, discs, pads etc.
Tuesday PM after running for about 20 minutes, stopped at traffic lights and this high pitched whining starts. I revved the engine in neutral, and it goes away then comes back - like a rattle or vibration - possibly a heat plate or brake pad backplate. Anyway, it doesn't do it all the time but has started doing it at say 30-40mph. Will get the dealer to look at it asap, but last night, when I went to start it, as soon as I turned the key before the engine started, there was the noise briefly - during what I presume is the fuel system priming action - and then it continued when the engine which was warm started.
I reckon it is the fuel pump, but is this related to the fuel filter change - is the fuel filter located on the pump or elsewhere?. Presumably this is covered under warranty?
Any suggestions would be apreciated.
