I love the car, but I couldn't believe all interior lights and side wing mirror lights are ugly yellow halogen lights!
Even my 'lowly' BMW M135i had led lighting all around.

Has anyone changed the bulbs around to LED? There seem to be various kits being sold online from various sources but it would be nice if someone could recommend one from experience?

Thanks.

I would like to upgrade the interior bulbs on my car also, however mine is only a C200 (pre-FL)

In my car (not sure if it's the same for you) the two that shine down from the rear view mirror are led, or I imagine so. They shine a crisp white light, the rest of the lights are of the yellow colour. Ideally I'd like to match the rest to stay uniform throughout.

Have also seen some upgrade bundles online but yet to see anyone that has changed them over. Would be interesting to see...

There is a youtube video done by a guy on another benz forum on how to replace the courtesy light on the side wing mirrors and there is a one done by precisionled on how to replace all other lights. Courtesy light seems like a down right pain to replace as you have to remove the cover and the mirror...

Can't say I've even noticed if mine has lights on the mirrors, I'll check later. I'm guessing that would really be a headache and something that I'd just leave if it was me.

Although my friend has a 57 plate bmw 320 and that has the nicer drop lights on the mirrors, probably the only thing on that car I find appealing!

I changed all the interior and number plate lights for LED's fantastic result really cheap mod and lots better looking do a search on eBay but make sure they are can bus error free

Hey I'm new here! On the subject of LED lights I would like to get LED lights for the side lights of my 2005 c class. The LED lights I have currently work but I have error messages come up on the dash. I was wondering if anyone knows of any lights that have been tried and tested to work error free? Thanks

You need canbus error-free LED's, or wire in resistors yourself

Remember to test them before you put the bulb holder back in! I didn't think of it first time I fitted LED's (of the non shrouded variety), had to pull the bulb holder - the edge of the LED caught, it dropped insode the headlight and I could not retrieve it!!

Digging up this thread again.

I want to change my interior lighting in my W204 C63, for something a bit more 'white'.

I have bad experience with changing interior lights to LED ones, only to find them WAY too bright, and having to remove them.

Can anyone suggest some good examples that won't be too bright? I'm mainly interested in the ones in the headlining (dome lights?!)

Thanks,
Gary
