W204 rear sub rattle

I think its fairly common but cant seem to find a definitive answer..

Low frequency makes the rear shelf/grill area buzz or rattle.


If i touch my hand on the centre grill then the noise stops,so is there any tried and tested fixes that sorts it out ?

I did see that,but it was for an E class and it was the hook covers that caused the problem..

I will try searching again..

Check to see if the speaker diaphragm has come away from the plastic surround.
Press gently on the edge all the way round.
If it has, get some strong flexible glue and stick it back.

Like I say, if I just hold my hand on top of the grill, then the noise stops

Maybe it needs foaming or spacing ...

Will have a play and see what I can do
