I want it! Its gorgeous.

Would have to check the authenticity of it though as the trim is like nothing i've ever seen on a W208.

I think the trim is designo .. the data card says so, and it looks pretty good too:

The work on the interior is spot on, and it looks like factory build too. With it being an 03, the interior colours may have been taken from a 209.

It doesnt have the orthopaedic seats

I dont think it is Designo because I think it should have Designo embossed into the backrest if it was.

Its certainly worth a look this weekend just for some pictures if nothing else!

Its definately a retrim.

Original datacard has code 211A which is anthracite leather. Thats black not cream. It also fits with the trim on the steering wheel.

Designo interior it is not.

That explains the immaculate driver seat bolsters.

If factory designo, should the centre parts of the seats be perforated leather?...Cant tell if these are...

If the datacard also says 430, is there not a chance the seats were changed from Anthracite to this leather at the same time the engine was changed by AMG??

As he paid £10,700 for it at auction there is a whopping profit in it.

If I bought it I would immediately put it back to the correct anthracite leather interior and of course add Comand.

Colour combo doesn't do it for me either. Although i'm sure it looks different in the flesh

I reckon Baynard's are one of these dealers who are happy to stick with stock for a long time until somebody stumps up the asking price.

But i'd def bite for anything near £10,700

This may well be true - they've had that E320 Cabrio on their site for ages!

btw there is another w208 55 convertible on autotrader at the mo. more miles and not so special but far cheaper!

I'm not sure that's a CLK55 AMG, it doesn't even have the AMG bodykit or AMG wheels.

I think the CLK is worth £11 to £12k tops.
It might be in good order but you will take a big hit come resale time.

If the dealer wasnt so greedy it would have sold by now... I know at least 3 parties that would have bought this at a more sensible figure, still leaving him a healthy margin.

usually around £800-£1500... however if you stumble across something like this, £2k wouldnt be unreasonable.
