Hi,
Recently I had a Service A carried out. After the Service was carried out, the Service indicator was reset by the garage to correctly display that Service B was due in 10,000 miles.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago. Started to get battery issues - low water level initially but started going flat last week after the cold snap. Had to jump start it a couple of times to get me out of trouble.
Bit the bullet today and fitted a new battery. Everything fine after re-syncing the windows etc however display was showing "Service B due". Carried out the reset procedure and now the display reads "Service A due in 10,000 miles".
As my next service is a B type, how do I change the display to read B and not A?
I've managed to call up the hidden menu (Battery voltage, VIN, Oil Level displayed etc) but there is no service menu in there. Is my car too old for this feature or am I doing something wrong?
Advice from other (early) W209 owners would be appreciated.
