W210 boot release & parking sensors

Hi, on my 1998 w210 e320 it has the newer style 'keyless' keys. It has a boot open button on it which only works occasionally, same with the button inside the car, that only works occasionally.

Where should i start fault finding, any obvious things to check?

Same with the parking sensors, they don't work, when you press the button to turn them on they beep and all red lights show on the dash and above the rear window, again, where should i start looking?

As there are two faults it sounds like there may be a problem with the CAN to the rear of the car.
If the two are not connected look at the PSE pump under the back seat and suck on the pipes to check the boot release diapragm works properly.
