W210 Central Locking Problem - Back doors only

Hello all

When I press the button on my keyfob to lock the car all buttons go down in the doors to lock except the back doors.

Also when i press the central locking button in the dash the same thing happens.

Anyone come across this problem before ?

The locking on a 210 is worked by air . There is a compressor under the back seat , beside the battery , this works the locks , and other functions . It is called the PSE . What year is your car ? On the early 210 there was a single manifold that fead all locks , this was changed on later cars , where the drivers door was seprate , and the 2 rear doors and passenger door are conected . It sounds like there is an air leak in the system . This can be heard some times when the car is bing locked , it will sound like a short hiss . Another sign of an air leak is the pump running for a long time .
