W211 2003 E220CDI Heater Box Problem?

The car keeps draining the battery and a new battery was recently fitted by Mercedes Dealers.

I have now been told that the heater box could be draining the battery and this could be extremely expensive to fix, they also said its a known problem and I may get some goodwill towards the fix.

Has anyone come accross this problem?

Have you had all the battery software upgrades done?

Just to let you know.... Turned out to be a faulty battery! I had the battery replaced by MB 3 months ago!

They apologized and fitted another new battery, hopefully this one will last a little longer! :bannana:
