W211 comand distance to go ??

Does anyone know how to get the Satnav on a 211 to display the distance to go to destination??

Provided you have the model year 2007 firmware update you get this displayed at the bottom of the screen from the MAP -> DISPLAY options.

my unit is a 2003 so i doubt its been updated. does this mean it wont be able to give me the Distance to go display?

Do a search on here and there is an guide to updating along with a link to the firmware download. It's free!

I updated my firmware a couple of days ago, and mine now displays distance the bottom.

Well after playing about with it ive figured it out:bannana:

lol, When you have selected your route, press the top left button, then it says "Info" press it again and it will show you the distination and the distance left to travel to that distination :bannana:

But now i have somehow changed the map view lol so it is only 1 diamensional ie looking directly down onto the map and i dont know how to get it 2d again hey ho lol

If you update the firmware via that link I sent, the info is permanently across the bottom (I think) Really is very easy. I think the only way you could banjax it is to turn power off halfway through - that is a total No-No

What else did you see in your dream? I guess you do have 2-dimensional map view but were dreaming about 3D maps. NTG1 should not have any.

Can you have the estimated time of arrival being displayed all the time on the COMAND screen? If not, you would need the COMAND firmware update.

no, but as long as i can keep tabs on the dtg (which i can) by pressing the info button when needed it suits my purpose. which is all i asked on the op.
