It's always the simple jobs that take the longest.
Put air in tyre. Compressor not working. Get the one from the SLK This one also not working. Must be the fuse ( both cars now had cigarette lighter fuses blowing.) Read up and there is a paper diagram in fuse box. Not in the one inside car, so pull out every fuse to check them. Try under bonnet. No, so pull out every fuse to check them.
. Try boot... There it is, all folded away nice and neatly. Why is everything always in the the last place you look? Change fuse, then spent ages trying to fold the diagram neatly to put away in the little slot. 5 minute job one hour....
