W215 drivers window not going up after closing the door

As above, this has happened once or twice.
Remedied by re-closing the door, however is this a sign of it not working properly in the future.
Coincidantally I don't think the auto wiper system is quite right either...reaction speed seems too slow.

hello colin, a likely cause of your problem is the wiring in the hinge area of the door, these cars are extremely prone to breaking wires here due to the flexing they go through.

Hi Cole, the sensor in the door may need to be cleaned and then sprayed with pressurised air. You can get a can of pressurised air in your local 24hr big name supermarket. This works most of the time. Is the self close function operating as normal? or a little bit slow ? Clean the latch mechanism, sometimes water/condensation (esp with the weather change) builds up and the sensor doesnt work properly, hence you are having to shut the door again. Does the window drop down on exiting the car ? if yes, then this should hopefully remedy your problem. If you need any help gimme a shout.

Hi ,

Make sure the door closes properly ,I.E the interior light is out .Adjustment correct.

Although Mr Patie is correct, this is common to break wiring.
