Just seen someone on Pistonheads has been told the same.

Wondering if anyone has heard any news regarding the production delays Mercedes are having with the E-class, specifically due to the wide screen dash display. Our car (E63S) was due to be delivered early January but is still delayed with no new delivery date. The dealer doesn't have any new info and just says that it is a nightmare - any new E Class orders are now scheduled for delivery in 2019 due to this...

Does anyone have any insight?

I get a weekly bulletin from the factory and I’ve seen nothing to indicate that is true. It’s standard in the E63 anyway

Collected my first ever Mercedes yesterday

MY2018 E Class Estate SE220d 4matic yesterday. The only options were the tow hitch (awesome), drug dealer windows and the the driving assistance pack (awesome but a bit scary). The way Mercedes does the packages is a bit crazy really. I would have liked adaptive lights but don't need nor want a sunroof, keyless go or memory seats. I get the idea of packages but some options should be available - I don't see adaptive lights as a luxury like the other things on the package

It is a lovely car. Very impressed with the way it drives and handles actually far better then the reviews lead you to believe. Very refined and very easy to drive. The semi autonomous driving systems are very good but a bit scary. Steering Assist works very well on roads with well defined lines like motorways

A couple of questions though....

Mirror link with Android Auto - I am told this is on the car (Audio 20 not COMAND online). When I come to connect up via USB the device is recognised as a USB device but I just get an error message "Mercedes Benz Connect could not be started" any ideas before I ask the dealer? I have tried multiple cables and deleting the phone from Bluetooth and starting again but to no avail

Garmin Map pilot - can a speed camera database be put on this. I have found info to do it on COMAND and older versions of Map Pilot but nothing up to date? Anyone done this on Garmin Map Pilot?

Lots of stuff on ANDROID AUTO on YouTube. There appears to be some confusion on its roll out over various models. Its roll out may also be different from APPLE CAR PLAY so if ACP works it doesn't follow that AA will work??

The dealer and MB assure me that this is on the car. I am thinking now that because it is Mirrorlink it may be phone specific.

I think you may be right unfortunately - seems a shame when all the Garmin Satnavs have Cyclops on them

The Sat Nav will not read from the sd card as previous Comand sat navs did. You would make my day if you can confirm that cameras can be imported / shown in Comand ntg5.5 !

I have just downloaded TomTom Speed camera for android - not ideal or integrated but it seems to work well. Just don't understand why speed camera notification isn't part of the the satnav system.

The 250 is available from launch next month. The A35 available late this year, then the A45 replacement late 2019

If you can get android auto working then one option is to use Waze. It's has all speed camera locations and is generally bloody excellent.
