No idea yet! Not sure I’d recommend the M140i run out edition though. The A35 will be with us this year if you’re prepared to wait. I can’t imagine it would be easy to change the beemer early if on finance

What do you know about delays to ordering E class (213 and 238) with widescreen cockpit. I am being told my Merc UK that earliest build date for an Estate is July, but can't allocate yet, and at least SEP for a Cabriolet? I can wait on the Cab but need to have the Estate by mid July (yes we are ordering one if each). What do I need to be doing to make sure my dealer can target a June or July build??

Both cars were ordered in Dec and we were originally told May for Cab and June for Estate, 2 weeks ago Can went to Sep and today told Estate is earliest Jul build (both with WS). Biggest issue is Estate is specced with massage seats and heated windscreen which has now disappeared from the pricelist, what are the chances of the car bring built with these items if it isn't until July or later???

Massage seats were never an option, do you mean multi-contour, as that’s not the same thing? Heated screen has been discontinued, so you’re stuffed there

I just got my E350e saloon with Active Multicontour seats (432) and HUD. They are still in the configurator but not in the brochure / price list effective 1st April.

When I noticed the change and couldn’t get a firm delivery date, I asked the dealer if there was any chance it would come without them and he said if you have an order with them on then they will be on the car.

One thing to be aware of, I ordered the seats and then before build I was told I had to have the Comfort Heat Package at £ 780 as well or lose the seats. I shouldn’t really say this, but the seats are sublime and even with the unnecessary Heat Package they are worth it - I hope you get them.

I feared that might be the case. Really mad that even without the wsc issue you couldn't get a car built between seeing it on the price list and when the price list runs out??? I know such things are probably not chosen by many people but they should really honour what a customer ordered in good faith.

Your order won’t be placed with the factory until they have a build slot and by that time, those options won’t be on the factory system to select. Personally it seems like your order hasn’t been managed well at all

If they are saying that the earliest an e class can be built with WSC is Jun when is the earliest that these slots are available to put bids for orders against?

When I ordered my last car with MB, I called back 8 weeks later to find out if there was any indication of a delivery date. The salesman sheepishly told me that he hadn't put the order in on the MB system, and now they'd actually stopped manufacturing that model! It turned out well in the end as they upgraded me to the E350 at net pricing, so I did get a great deal. However, when I change this year, no prizes for guessing who I'll be ordering with, and there are some outstanding country pubs to visit in Norfolk as well!

Each dealer gets allocation for each build month, normally about 3 months in advance. They’re welcome to swap with other dealers, which I’m surprised your dealer hasn’t managed to do so and find the right one.

Again, any car build after April will not have the options you want. It goes off the build date, not order date
