It means you have the shorter, stiffer sports springs, different anti roll bar and possibly different steering (less turns lock to lock).

If you do a search, lots comes up.

Ah.... would explain hy is lower then... thanks

It's the suspension part of a Sportline car. Other bits could be steering wheel and seats, but there are different packages.

Cool.... unfortunately not a sportline then

Are the original 8 hole alloys worth holding onto then

I'm not sure there is a set Sportline package, it's made up of different parts, the main one being the suspension which you appear to have.

You could legitimately describe the car as Sportline.

So does that make it worth more :bannana: :bannana: :bannana: :bannana:

to someone looking for a car with a sports chassis ;)

I understand from on here, the ride is not as good as the standard chassis - which I am happy to sacrifice for a lower car as it looks better :D

whether it makes the C124 more sporty is debatable

There was a full Sportline package for the saloon but not the coupe as the Sportline seats were not available on the coupe.
What you have is the Sportline suspension package which includes the steering box (try it, 3 turns lock to lock vs 3.5 turns standard). The Sportline steering wheel had to be ordered separately.
The Sportline suspension transforms the handling of the W124 although there is a slight trade off with comfort.
What did you pay for it, 800 odd quid? Bargain.;)
