What engine oil w221 s320 2007

Hi guys.
I have checked the handbook
Mb sheet 229.31
And on this forum but I cannot locate clear information on what oil is to be used for an s320 2997 model.

Can someone confirm please.

Personal choice. Dependent on climate temperature, but UK doesn't have great extremes, so fairly big choice.

If you want 229.31 (Low ash - for vehicles with DPF) spec oil here is a list of all oils that have the MB Approval.
MB 229.31 - Multigrade service engine oil Low SPAsh (Specification 229.31) - Mercedes-Benz Specifications for Operating Fluids

If you want to use a later spec oil, change the spec sheet number in the drop down menu at the top.

This chart shows all suitable spec sheets for MB engines. The first three digits of your engine number are your Engine Type.

Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30, Shell Helix Ultra Extra 5w-30 or Fuchs Titan GT1 Pro C-3/Pro Flex depending on cost availability and whim. (Castrol as well, but they have so many variants that I get confused!)
As an aside, Fuchs of Mannheim have a useful and comprehensive 'Oil Chooser' which may be of assistance for those with enquiries such as this one.
