What happened to watch sizes.

You will be doing quite well to obtain a Daytona for less than 10k

I admit that the £10k price is out of date.
The new price for the cheapest version is now £10500 but it was £9500 not so long ago.
The same watch at less than a year old is over £21k because of supply and demand. So you still pay double to get one now and apparently Watchfinder.co.uk don't struggle to sell them at those prices

And I was told that Goldsmiths take deposits but don't give you the paperwork for the watch until you have had it for a year to stop people trying to make a quick buck. Might just be rumors.

Anybody without a expensive track record and a long relationship with a dealer wont see a Steel Daytona inside 5 years, precious or TT a bit less, i own a 116520 fro 2010, my first Rolex and treat for my 40th, i was 5 years on the list for that one, a strong performer, like many older steel items from that manufacturer, i have a fondness for and have indulged a fair bit in the last 11 years, a brace of 5513 M/First one with the matte dial and ghost bezel of the correct age are a pleasure for me to wear.
