That's a sign of underinflated tyres.............. but I am sure you checked that already...

Merry Christmas
Merry xmas to you and all also. I thought that aswell, but been running at 32psi since fitted, still wearing down. Maybe I should try 34 or more ? Alignment has been checked twice. Told toe is correct also.

Anyway, done about 8k miles on them so far, so ill just take the hit, maybe swap them to the rears again for a while.

Just a question my 18'' AMG's have 245/40's on the front and 265/ 35's on the rear, can I fit narrower tyres to the rims and still keep everything safe?

Cheers

:)

You have the correct sizes for the 211 E Class. You are permitted to use 245/40R18 at the rear if you wish.

In my (limited) experience with F1s they are harsh & noisy when cold and don't grip well either. When warmed up they are much better. They also develop flat spots when left to stand

The Contis seem much better suited to low temperatures and are quieter & more comfortable overall

Obviously in current weather an all-weather tyre would be a better all-round choice but I won't be buying more F1s for W124s. But then, suspension-wise, a W124 is very different to a modern car

Were they F1 Eagles with the V pattern or the new F1 asymetrics?

GSD3s. Couldn't get the Assymetrics

I know you're going to say that the Assymetrics are better in this regard but I think that for my purposes a less sport-oriented tyre is better
