Right, this AM, I decided to tackle the issue of my cars apparent dirtiness.

Its toured been to York, Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh and back to forward to work in the inclement weather, well cold rain and snow. Its only seen snow once.

Anyway, it was at a state it was looking like a lesser car in cuprite brown rather than a proper paint colour, silver.

I decided to restore order this AM.

Nothing fancy, some autogym car shampoo, some colinite 915 wax, some wonderwheelz alloy wheel cleaner, rain ex glass cleaner and some carplan black trim restorer.

The black plastic on the bumper was looking a little tired and sorry, as was the trim around the mirrors....

Not now she ain't.

Mine's looking a bit grim at the moment but it's in the garage and out of sight, out of mind..

Cheers,

Gaz

Looking good Steve!

I'm particularly pleased with restoring the black bumpers. Before you'd actually see them in the images. Now they're nice and black.

Cars about to turn 40k miles. Still a pup, but shes really spotless. 1 chip in the bonnet and thats all thats noteworthy.

Oh, I've blown a bulb. Not using the car so ordered off ECP and will fit on arrival. I had a poke around this AM. Its a bit of a squeeze but ok. I like this low hassle car ownership thing, bulbs and bumper trim rejuvination. I could get used to this :D

Well done!
Nice plate and wheels btw :thumb:

Cheers :thumb:

Careful with lacquered only wheels. These will corrode, indeed I had the winter tyres fitted and they fitted scratched the wheel and minor corrosion has started.

I'll get them refurbed if they get worse, and painted. I toyed with glass black but don't think they'll suit it...

PITA to clean as multispokes, but they look the biz

Nice job. Let me know next time you are in this neck of the woods. I've got all the gear and I'll feed you 'til the job is done. :D

I might just take that up Paul. John Baker washed my old E class once, he has a nice hose and decent shampoo. I had neither at the time.

These bloody wheels, are a PITA, look nice mind you

It's feckin winter and you live in Scotland :eek::doh:.

Can I eat more food in a sitting value wise than a detailer would charge to detail my C Class estate:bannana::bannana:

Do bears sh*t in the woods? :p

I might just take that up Paul.

Nice one. Any time next week will do. ;)

I've used one of these for the last ten years. Still going strong. Bristles on mine are 3" but 4"are available.
Mine is made by MTM Hydra (Italy) and is what you'll find at a lot of pertol station Jet Washes.
Nice and soft and gets into all the corners. ;) LINK.

You could buy one off ebay, or just unscrew one from a garage jet wash one night. :D

I'm a bucket of water/shampoo and a wash mit type of bloke and a microfibre for later.

Microfibre clothes are amazing

Thats an awful lot of trips to the Balti you'll be making for me. Most kind:cool::cool:

LOL! I had a Rogan Josh from there last night. Out of this world.
