Spotted a W124 part number on my 639 (new shape) Vito last night!

Anybody want to guess what it was?

Any other candidates for 'old part / new car' ?

Something to do with the registration plates?

Oldest parts in common use have got to be ordinary screws/nuts/washers.

It has to be the spare wheel drum in the boot which is a W124 part...

Wheel nut?

Wiper - no, the Vito has 2 (fitted with washer jets ) rather than the single big one.

Door handle - nope.

Key - no, the Vito has the normal modern 'transponder' one.

Wheel bearing - could be, but no easily visible part number!

Number plate mounting - ditto

Wheel nut - ditto

Spare wheel is in an under-slung carrier (just replaced under recall, actually!) so not that either.

Dead fly on windscreen?

(this one is the great, great, great grandson of the W124 fly)

.

Lid of the windscreen washer reservoir?

I'm pretty sure the B-Class had one from a 124.
