Hi Guys
I think that I have a rumbling wheel bearing and was thinking of doing a self repair.
Have had the car for around 6 months and since purchace there was a slight shudder under braking but nothing serious.
Have just done a road trip UK-Berlin-UK and it has got worse. Def more rumbling noise when driving, and brake shudder has got worse (Rumbling very loud when braking too). This sounds exactly like a wheel bearing issue I have on my Ford. So I have to assume that it is a bearing that is going, which one is the big question though.
Has anyone done a DIY bearing replacement? Is it any more difficult than "normal" cars?
I think it is the front right wheel and the way I intend to find this out is to put the frint up on stands and spin the wheels up using and electric drill and rubber disk (Not the most technical idea I know but hs worked for me before). Hopefully on wheel will sound more noisy than the other.
Anyone got any other suggestions?
Cheers
