I had my very rare appointment today and i see why they are so busy. Its a great place in a nice area (rather than your usual back street place), nice waiting room, really nice blokes and the difference they have made is truly amazing! I know everyone says it but if you hadn't tried it then you must. They spent about an hour on the geometry adding castor bolts and setting it up properly. They said it would take a little while to get used to the new set up and within 10 minutes of driving it home it felt so together - really sharp steering now, perfectly balanced into corners and it feels generally tighter than before. They also changed a ball joint for me which i thought was good value. There are some great customers cars there aswell - i couldn't get a picture of the R8 that was there as i was too embarassed after snapping the Ferrari! :D

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS, I WOULD HAVE NEVER FOUND THEM OTHERWISE.

Thank you for today, and sorry things got so busy, i didn't even get a chance to chat to you...

It was that poxy Ferrari F355 GTS that delayed things then there was the DB9 and the R8, and do you know what?..... give me a predictable Merc anyday over these so called supercars.

Yep, Great professional service many thanks to the guys at WIM. I was there 3 weeks ago, did a superb job along with Olly fitting my new Bilstein coilovers. Now have centred steering wheel, and no more pulling to the left. Believe there was a Black Ferrari (LHD) in there the day my car was being done - did sound nice when the guy came and picked it up.

Shame they are sooo far away

From Wiltshire that is :D

I drove from Plymouth to Ollie's (197 miles) to have my Bilstein Coilovers fitted, then from Ollie's to WIM in Chesham (97 miles) and from WIM back to Plymouth (230 miles). The quality of service from both PCS and WIM was well worth it, as was the great drive back home. I enjoy driving my C55 even more as Olly will no doubt confirm i was wary of lowering or messing about with the C55 suspension along with the 9.5 wheels on the back but i am really glad i made the change and had the work done by professional companies who really know what they are doing. For that type of excellent service and expertise i am willing to travel, and pay the extra.

I totally agree with this, I will gladly travel for good service and professionalism and we regularly use WIM even though we are in Yorkshire, there is no one to touch them. We used to use BMTR in Birmingham but the service started slipping and they could never fit you in at your booked time. The guys at WIM have been brilliant with everything from high spec scoobies to my father in laws Vectra. We just try and time it for when one of us is going into London or the South Coast. Great effort guys pleasure doing business with you.

Plus 1+

Yes i had the W221 done a few weeks ago with a freind who had his R129 500 done to.

Very nice guys and helpful, showed you what they where doing and explained why they where doing it.

Highly recommended.

I remember that E-class, i turned up there while that E-class was there on the ramp thinking i didnt need to book an appointment :o.

But i hope they will stop the 'wandering'/tramlining, and pulling to the left that my car does. Its been annoying me since i've bought the car (almost 2 years now). :)

The centre is designed to allow the owner to be as involved with the calibration as they feel fit.... It's a difficult topic, if you can see and have explained what's going on then your more likely to understand what's wrong and why it's being corrected.

At the end of the day it's your car so any other option would be rude.

We do tend to get high end supercars, probably because they are so fussy with their calibration. Recently i had a Ferrari F430 with twin superchargers fitted who's newish tyres lasted 1040 miles "OMG"..... £1200 for a new set didn't faze the owner?

We can still help you, even from a distance?... we can find you a centre, help with the settings and validate the results, cost..... £0

Sounds great. Can you recommend anyone in my neck of the woods (North East Wales/Cheshire border). Was thining of using Demon Tweeks Wrexham?
Your thoughts please

thank you! it was not a problem hanging around, in fact i managed to catch up on work calls which was very nice. Have a chat next time i come up, probably in my wifes Subaru Legacy. Cheers.

As WIM are on this forum i'm sure no-one wants to quote you on their behalf!! It depends on how many castor bolts you need, if any. Have a look at their website as it tells you about the mercedes issues. Mine needed all 4 bolts (rare) - give them a call and they'll give you an indication, but without the bolts you won't be spending a huge amount more than standard "tracking" at your local grease monkeys!
