Where is the optical lead junction box?

Yes to the phone controller but what is the wake up on the CDC? There only seems to be 2 conections and they are both connected

Since the CDC was from the factory, it must have three wires (in addition to fibre). The wake-up wire colour should be blue/black in this car if I got it right.

Checked the connector and yes we have a blue/black wire.

Is it possible that the connector that i take is under the drivers foot well has come apart.

Oh yes, and as they are an active loop, if any device on the loop fails, the loop is broken and nothing works.

I.e so if it was working and has failed, its likely to be a broken device.

If someone did a diagnostic on the wake-up signal then it may well be open circuit on wake-up.

Well i have tried every thing mentioned and it still wont work any sugestions as to what to do now.

Ps Alfie if your up Bradford way any time please let me know.

Fibre Optic

Hi Guys,
Just jumping on the band wagon here I took out my stereo today and noticed the dual fiber optic. I am sure my car doesn't have phone but there is a CD changer in the glove box and there is a connection labelled AMP on the back of the stereo which I can only assume relates to BOSE sound system in my car which incidentally I think is crap. My opinion only but I am a Bassjunkie I must admit.

I am going to upgare all this and bypass the amp etc but is Fibre Optic only connected to CD changer? Does it do anything else?

Also, where is the amp? didn't see anything in the boot or under the boot liner and there is no sign of cage etc. so little confused and need help!

Please

thanks guys

Andy

You should tell which car you are talking about?
