Who built your AMG engine?

Never seen the appeal of a hand built engine, isnt the fact all other engines are built by robots so they are built to perfect standards & tolerances?

Not a staff member of AMG who has a hangover from a night at Oktober-fest?

I agree - if my engine sounds raspy and like a diesel I want that to be from age and astronomical mileage, not because of human error in the age of near-perfect robotic assembly

corr that was some pruning!

dear shude please come round to my garden its a mess

Don`t you think clearing the mess here is hard enough

So what do you actually do with your mower, detail it :D

haha ive only had it a fortnight!
i suppose i could debadge it?:)

i personally agree with the hamster from top gear, this one man one engine seems a bit of a con, how fast must they be able to screw the things together?

what is the production figures of amg engines across the whole range? fritz and hanz et al must be making hundreds of engines a day each.

Maybe, it's only the stick on badge that's handmade.

Interesting!
I think hand built engines are more lovingly assembled.. I'd imagine the manufacture of the components is still automated.

Mika

You mower needs a white body strip AKA Starsky & Hutch. Possibly some spacers on the rears to give it a fatter stance (apologies to all fat people who have no issues with their stance)

Have you thought about a stainless AMG tip on your exhaust (all the rage you know)

Lovingly, yes - the assemblers would have the best intentions but a well-programmed machine would be more exacting than a labourer and would produce every engine of a certain model to be identical, a hand-made/assembled one would have slight inconsistencies or variations. What effect this would have on reliability or performance I have no idea

What's hapened to my Ginger Nuts

Mine doesnt seem to be there:(
