Why do some AMG owners drive like knobs?

Not sure if this is the correct section of the forum to post in but this is just a rant about idiotic C63 AMG drivers I see here in Aberdeen.

I'm all for enjoying the noise this car makes but I see so many idiots and retards driving around residential/town areas at illegal speeds and making a racket. Perhaps they think it makes them look cool, but they don't realise they just look like a bunch of knobs.

Last night there was a nice looking white C63 Coupe (BV12 XXX) parked at my flat's parking area and not long after I went inside I heard this car driving along the road and he was driving like an absolute moron in a narrow street with cars parked on both sides of the road.

We have enough Civic Type R's and Vauxhall Corsa's doing this sort of thing on our road, we don't need more retards!

Would you believe that SOME amg owners travel great distances to meet up with fellow owners just to drive around certain parts of London whilst blipping the throttle/wheel spinning/accelerating hard etc etc. Thoughtlessness and look-at-me knows no geographical borders so I am not surprised you suffer in your area as well, TBH.

Hang them, hang them all!!!! Oh and cut their ****s off too!

Fun is banned in all parts of the UK not just London! :thumb:

And then you get some Volvo diesel drivers lower their window at traffic lights and goad "63" drivers to give their cars the beans. ;)

It's not restricted to AMG owners. Every marque has it's own set of knobs that need twiddling.

^^ This.

You could ask the same of BMW, Audi, Subaru,Ford and any other number of marques. Hooligan driving isn't limited to AMG's.

Fun as defined by those having it does not necessarily mean fun for those on the receiving end who have no choice about being participants.

Only last night I watched a white AMG and red M5 reversing the wrong way down a one way street (did they think they weren't breaking the law by doing it that way ??) :D

Usual revving of engines whenever a crowd was near. Shame the M5 driver couldn't judge the width of his car as he kerbed it big time at the junction between Middlesex Street and Sandy's Row in London village.

Yep, loads of C63's in Aberdeen, taken over from Porsche. Unfortunately always get a few idiots.

C63 pah! you should hear the golf r when they are REVO remapped they are better I've been told.

Next time you see them, give them the old 600 psi punch :)

It might well be fun for those driving but often the drivers have little experience of handling such cars properly. Given that the activity is all about 'look at me aren't I cool' then we can safely say that the drivers who partake in this 'fun' are both immature and deeply insecure, hence the need to show off. In this video we see exactly that. Interestingly the audience seems to have an average age of about 14. Impressive huh? You need to fast forward to about one minute to see the accident, luckily no-one seems to have been hurt.

If you need to do this then do it properly on the track.

The problem is not confined to AMG drivers and of course is not necessarily inclusive of all performance car owners, just the dickkeads!

I don't mind drivers wallying about at that sort of meet, provided they don't prevent me going about my lawful business. Good luck to them in their knobbery if they're not doing any harm; we all need somebody to look down on and laugh at... Giantvanman has it spot on: "Fun as defined by those having it does not necessarily mean fun for those on the receiving end."

Oh yeahhhhh

Some people are children. Simple as that!

Examples:

Asked if I had a happy childhood I always answer "Yes, and I'm still enjoying it!"

'The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys'.

Cheers,
Robert
