I would like to disassociate myself in every way from that remark because I know some very nice people who are AMG owners. However, besides that, may I suggest that name calling does not achieve anything worthwhile especially when in such a childish context?

I'd just like to say that I own an AMG (well not really an AMG but it IS an AMG sport, and has lots of AMG bits, and I tell all my mates its a real AMG even though the engine is only 1800cc, but you know what I mean)
And I'M a knob.

Unfortunately there are some owners who "rip the **** off it" in built up areas, and let's be honest if we see a Corsa do it it's no different to the Porsche, ferrari or AMG owner. However, in the right place a blip of the throttle has 95% of the time gotten me a thumbs up or a positive comment in the garage forecourt.
But let's not make this a diesel v AMG issue as there are plenty muppets horsing there diesels about with plumes of black smoke from the exhaust aswel as the tires.
As with all things the minority tar the majority with the same brush
