I am going to swap a E320 engine to my W114 Coupe and noticed the huge front brakes E320 has. They may be needed but will they fit?

I dont think they will just bolt on, you may need to make brackets ect.

Not sure if it is any help, but if your car has the same brakes as a w123, then you should be able to use the calipers and discs from a w126 s class.

I will look into this.

It's a T-model 320 and these brakes look pretty impressive. I wonder if they are the same as in C36 AMG?

Not a straight swap, no. As with any modifications, anything is possible with enough cash, but is it worth it...probably not.

OK, thanks V12.

I have the car (E320) and just trying to figure out what parts might be possible to use in the upgrade of W114.

And as carat previously pointed out, W123 brakes would give a chance to upgrade and these brakes will fit W114. Well, somehow at least. Diggin' deeper...

Hello from Japan,
I think you can use knackles and hubs from R107 .
I am doing the same swap.

I mean you could use whole brake set from R107 with them.
I haven't tried yet , But that's what I'm gonna try.
I'm doing the same swap here.

iirc the 320 W124 has a different rim offset to clear the larger calipers than an older 124. So it's likely a new set of wheels would also be required.

You'll need 15" alloys as a minimum to clear the 320 calipers

Ask yourself why you need bigger brakes. Brakes are there to shed kinetic energy and e = mv². That's why the E320 estate has monster brakes - big load capacity and higher top speed capability due to the bigger engine

If you're not going to drive the car any faster you could argue you don't need bigger brakes. But then, if you're not going to drive the car any faster, why do you want to change the engine?
