window tint

Think factory is usually around 5% which you will already have and therefore have another 25% to play with. Lightest places usually stock is about 35% and so only 10% more than you can have 100% legally.

With decent film, sorry to harp on but it is important, it doesn't look at all dark and for me is more about cutting glare and keeping the UV out, which is very noticable on bare arms and face in the summer, than trying to look cool. It's the morons with the dark, cheap crap that the Police want as that is difficult to see through.

Right that's interesting, thanks b1g1an. So it would be ok to put on a 10% film with no issues. I agree, you get what you pay for and I dont mind spending a bit more if I know im going to get a good product. I dont think I can go wrong with a lifetime guarantee either

Ive asked for a few quotes recently and 2 or the 3 companies refused to do front window tints stating it was illegal. This is in Glasgow, for reference.

Is there anyone thats had it done and can vouch for quality over time? I want a light smoke or smoke tint, just subtle and I dont want it to look cheap or after-market.

I was quoted between 130 and 150 for my C class on the back doors and rear window.

The company who im thinking of using is Direct Windscreens, they offer a lifetime guarantee with their work and quoted me 140 for the rear, not sure if they operate in your area but it's worth a look just for the guarantee
