Wired remote interface

Does anyone know if there's a magical box of tricks that plugs into the cables connected to the rear of the "Audio 10" head unit that will enable me to use an aftermarket head unit while still retaining the steering wheel controls?
I have a 2000 CLK (W208) and intend to fit a pioneer double din unit that uses the ISO connectors. Found a lead suitable for a (W203) CA-R-PI.131 Wired remote interface for MERCEDES - Pioneer Car Accessories
Would this work for my car? it appears to have the same connectors.

Hi. i have just fitted a double din head unit to my 51 plate C Class 220. I used a company on ebay Car Audio Stereo items - Get great deals on Cheap car audio, Navigation items on eBay.co.uk Shops!. They have both the interface needed to control by steering wheel. i called them up and found them very helpfull. cheers
