Would you recommend vBulletin?

I have to put some forum software on my Website. I've had phpBB installed on my old site for a while, and it's worked OK, but I'm not 100% happy with it. As a user, I do like vBulletin (as used here).

So a couple of Qs to TPTB here at MBClub:
* easy to admin (FWIW, phpBB is fine for me)?
* would you recommend it?
* are there any others equivalant in features/etc that you'd consider or prefer

(One thing that I do prefer about this place is that links in a posting open in a new window when clicked. The behaviour in phpBB changed between versions and now it opens the page in the same window. Some obscure bit of code needs to be hacked to get the same behaviour.)

you might want to take a look at FUDforum: Welcome to the forum I use this for a forum I run. Its been up for the last 6 years and the only downtime has been for code updates.

Its a nice lightweight forum, not as many features as vB, but works with little trouble, and no costs.

Thanks Mark - will check it out. One Q (mentioned above) - that forum also opens links in the same window. Do you know if that's normal/fixed/configurable?

(apologies to the mods for posting this Q in the other area - I was hoping for some opinions from those who are hands-on)

Thanks, loops. :)

Seems I didn't quite understand the new pricing system for vBulletin. And that whole Adsense thing is a bit confusing. More to think about...
