My garage is starting to resemble Baghdad on a bad day and I risk losing the Smart under a cardbox box landslide of christmas decorations, car polish, and spare electrical stuff.
Does anyone have any heavy duty (able to hold a decent amount of weight) shelving available in the...
Drat:crazy:
Drove up from the coast to Stafford (still here) last night and picked up one all mighty 'crack' from something which upon inspection has given the merc a finger nail sized indentation and two scratches just off center of the bonnet, just at the lower lip.
Haven't got any...
I drove another c class a few days ago and the steering was so light compared to mine i now believe a there must be a fault with mine. I have checked the power steering fluid levels (both while warm and cold) and they are fine.
Any other things i should check or ways i can fix this?
Hi all could anyone help with diagnosing why my steering is heavy? the PAS system looks and sounds like it's operating properly and no worn joints or leak's. The power steering is working but the steering is heavy compared to other models of 211 that i have driven.
I've ordered a 2008 Lexus IS250 SE-L (Multimedia) so the baby is going :(
My missus tried and tried to convince me to keep it but I fancied a change after just over 3 years of trouble-free motoring.
I decided on the Lexus after test driving it on the same day as test driving the Jaguar XF...
Took this whilst stationary at the bottom of a cul de sac about an hour ago.
The wife says "what are you doing !!! ??"
I say "taking a photo for the mb board"
She says "ffs"
Main roads were down to 20 mph
If I break hard enough to activiate the ABS, I get a short 'buzz' [about 3 secs] after I stop braking, sounding as if it's coming from the front end. Is this normal?
On my W03 C220 CDI I have noticed that under hard/heavy acceleration there is a puff of white cloud/smoke that comes out of the exhaust which I can see from my rear view mirror. Is this normal or is there something wrong? I know that black smoke means that the injectors are probably...
Overnight Wednesday and Thursday morning are going to see quite a significant band of sleet and snow into south west England and South Wales and eventually by morning across much of Wales into the Midlands and into the London area and southern England as well as the South East," he said.

recently had my front tyres replaced with some Conti Premium Contact 2 205/55/r16 (previously sport contact 2's) due to crap wear after less than a year. Anyway, although I feel a lot safer on the road, the steering seems much heavier, as if the power steering is degraded in some way.
I...
I went to GT battle @ Rockingham yesterday - although my car has been nicked just before the major events we still had a great time.
Some of you will remember Adam from the Brunters track day and he did really well. I spent some evenings last week getting his car ready and lending him a few...

I find the power steering less than comfortable and the handling less precise unless I run up the tyre pressure to 33 front and 41 rear(psi)This is the fully loaded pressure.
The point being is that the steering is lighter and the car better balanced at...
dfggh Bought a very nice rust free W126 the other day but has a very heavy pedal. There was loads of play in the system which i have mostly removed but it needs a lead foot to move. All the ball joints are well greased. Any clues anyone before i break the back of the seat? :confused...
I had a bit of a moment shall we say on the way home from work today.. Firstly the car is a '96 C36 AMG and only yesterday I put on some 18" monoblock wheels, and pirelli Pzero boots. They are 225/40 on the front and 255/35 on the rears. I was driving in a manner that the car was designed for...
Just wondered if the following is an obvious sign of anything that might require a closer look (car goes in to garage in a week anyway).
I have noticed that recently, when the car has been left overnight, the first time I depress the clutch and come to think of it the brake pedal, they are...
Hi all,
Daft question time! :D I've always thought the steering on my C180 was
nice and light - I'm lazy and quite often only steer with one hand!
Then I've been driving round a W140 for the last few weeks, on
which the steering seems even lighter, which is great.
Problem is, when I...
Hi dude , here are the pickies for the ignition sense wire . Its the black on with the yellow stripe up it. I just scotch blocked onto it and it works like a dream. I just took mine from the glovebox light as it was closest , but , this one is good too.
