Hello from a newbie,
We have just got our second Mercedes, I talked the wife out of her Audi and into a Mercedes.
We wanted to get a car with reasonable power and settled on a C43 after lots of thinking. We want to keep it for a good few years so we purchased a pre-registered car as it...
Mercedes GLC Clonking and juddering on near full steering lock
I have had this problem since new but now the weather is cold and damp or wet the problem is much worse. I have viewed other owners concerns about this phenomena and would like to document my experience.
The car has been with...
I need to replace the lock on my W169, & can anyone tell me how to do this?
I've taken the door trim off & found the large metal plate pop riveted to the door frame, if I were to drill out the rivets & remove the plate could I access the lock.
I've look on Lofty's site & found nothing...
Working on my little run around W169 which I bought with some know faults and would appreciate a little advice.
When I bought the car I noticed that the key operated barrel in the drivers door had been drilled out, at that time it came with two keys which both had blank blades.
The lock...
I've just bought a brand new GLC AMG 43. I've had it for 10 days and it constantly does this at full lock, reversing and going forward at very slow speed. I'm taking it to Mercedes today to be checked but I'm worried about being fobbed off. Does anyone else have an issue like this on their GLC ?
The time has come to consolidate my car situation with a young one on the way and that means selling my C63 Coupe that I have had from new.
It has been garaged pretty much all of it's life and has 22000 miles on the clock.
There is a Mercedes-Benz Tier One Warranty on the car until Apr 2017...
Hi guys
After much searching... Finally bought a 5 litre R129 beast.
As expected with an old car... Some minor issues. I have read some other threads but not sure it's the exact same problem as others...
Start with the easy one first - the key isn't able to turn the lock at the moment. I'm...

Hi, has anyone had problems with ignition barrels on this model. When the key is inserted and turned all dash lights appear as normal but starter doesn't work as if interlocked when it is not in Park or Neutral. It's intermittent but becoming more frequent. Spare key behaves the same. Any...
Its fixed! I did it myself, which is rather surprising really as I have a habit of doing one job and creating at least a couple more...!

Evenin' all.
There's something up with the tailgate of my 211 estate. Probably my fault.
The tailgate is electric. I loaded it up earlier with carpet for a dump run and closed the (electric) tailgate over some very slightly protruding carpet.
Didn't notice anything at the time bit now...
Forgetting to lock the door via the fob in my old age and some nights its remained unlocked all night!
Is there not a feature where it'll lock itself if it doesn't detect a key in the ignition.
I know of the feature where if you unlock it but don't open door it will lock itself.
TIA
