Tried to change a track rod end at weekend on the 1997 E300TD ... Only to find that my ancient ball joint splitter does not fit these ball joints. :( Can anyone recommend a suitable tool at a fair price. Thanks. John

I may be able to get a gaiter for the steering rack from a W124 E300, but I need to put my old track rod in the W124, if they are the same I just swap my old track rod and gaiter in one piece and get the gaiter from the W124? Cheers. Olivier

I sometimes find that track names are too long so that they are not fully displayed in the 'standard' display in COMAND. Apologies if you already knew this, but pressing the # key opens a 'pop-up' window with the song details displayed. Cool.
