vent

I've tried searching but not found a definitive answer relating to the W124. Basically the thumb-wheel on my passenger side air vent does not light up like the centre and drivers side do. How do I go about changing the bulb?

Does anyone know how to remove the air vents, I didn't know they were supposed to be illuminated until a friend got in the car the other night and commented that his W124 has illuminated air vent controls. Must be a simple fix but am reluctant to go prising them off in case I break something...

I have just noticed when I switch my lights on that only the driver's side adjustment wheel for the air vent is illuminated. Are these lights fibre optics or bulbs? Are they easy to replace /repair? I presume the glove box requires removal. Car is W210, 2001

Whilst washing the car today I notice that air-inlet vent on the bonnet was collecting water (on the passenger side). It looks like it is blocked, but the driver's side is okay. Any one knows how to unblock the passenger's side (or does it drain off the driver's side on the W210 facelift)?
