124 Estate - Rear Wheel Bearings - advice

My 124 Estate is approaching 200K and there is quite a noise coming from the rear wheel bearings - replaced the front ones about 7 months ago.

From what I can gather this is quite a major job. Is this so?

Any previous experience greatly welcomed.

It's a very difficult job, and unless you're a *very* accomplished and well equipped DIYer, it's a job for a specialist.

It might be easier to see if you can obtain a second hand hub, and simply swap the entire assembly.
