1st service, W212

In future, once my cars are out of the initial warranty period(3 years on most)i will only get servicing done by a good indi(£250+ for an "A" service which is basically an oil/filter change is not worth the mb stamp in the service book imho)

Just had my 1st service last week and paid £199.

Didn't shop around as I thought it quite reasonable (MB Sheffield).

When I was ordering the car with the salesman I specifically asked about servicing costs. It wouldn't have stopped me buying, but it's good to know what they are likely to be. At the end of the day, when you spend £50k on a car, you can probably afford the servicing.

I looked at the service plans on offer and decided to wait. They seemed to cover 3 services, so it made sense to wait so it covered services 2, 3 and 4 which would be bigger and more expensive rather than "waste" one on the first small service.
