Spotted this on carandclassic; sold very quickly, so googled for the cached advert - was up at £12995. I know its not the best engine but that seems cheap ?

No doubt will be up for sale at a dealers for £20k soon!

Loads of seals and switches going dry from under use.

Oil pressure gauge was showing a low read,I'd be worried about it,nice car but potentially loads of stuff to go wrong after such a long lay up.

Yeah, fair point. What is the point in buying any car a literally never driving it?

Never understood why some are prepared to pay a massive premium for a low mileage example of some of the older mercs when it's well documented that the mechanicals are bullet-proof.
