2004 SL centre cubby box locked shut

As above, used my SL55 in Friday and the centre cubby box between the front seats no longer unlocks and opens.

Has anyone had similar? Is there a fix and a guide for repairing? I don't want to break anything but want to be able to use it properly again.

I think they lock with the glove compartment and that in itself is a known issue......will not open.

I had the problem with the glove compartment many years ago..... I do not do DIY and MB Oxford sorted it foc.

I think there is some dismantling to be done if if your issue is similar.

Thanks for the reply. I found it had been locked manually so unlocked and now all ok.
