300ce widebody

Going through the "left to do" list....

Repairing some interior plastic trim, no longer available from Merc, due to getting brittle over the years...

I running into the same issues with my '86 190e that I finally pieced all the parts to do a Gen 1. Getting ready to run wires for the stereo amp and I'm afraid to pull up the sill plates on each door. I have a red interior which is even harder to find interior trim pieces.

I used a two part kneadable epoxy that is specific to plastics as it can be formed and easy to sand...
Still problems in that some of the plastic trim is very thin...
Parts that I couldn't make a smooth repair on were wrapped with MB Tex..

Rehoboth Beach is flooded, let's hope the OP, Ed is ok...his house has a jetty at the back...so could be dicey.

Look on the positive side.. I'd be making the most of that G55 of yours Ed! ;)

However, good to know your safe and sound! Hope your 124 is ok too!

+1. Glad your ok, has the worst of it passed now Ed?

The Rehoboth Beach area although heavily covered by network news was very lucky.
About 10" of rain, 45mph sustained wind, no high gusts and no major flooding damage.
The hardest hit started about 50 miles north in Atlantic City New Jersey and up into Long Island New York...
Eighty homes burned down in a coastal area off of New York City...no conclusion on how the fire started ( maybe gas explosion ) but because the homes were close fire spread rapidly with the high winds..same happened to thirteen homes on the Jersey Shore..

Sun coming out today and a photoshoot for a magazine on for this weekend...:bannana:

Finished and back home..

Finally returned to it's garage space yesterday :bannana::bannana:

Extremely satisfied and worth the three years the build took...

Today there was a three hour photo shoot for a magazine.
The photographer emailed one pic to the editor in the U.K.

She liked it enough that she instantly posted it to the magazine's Facebook and Twitter pages...

Just a tease but can be seen at the Mercedes Enthusiast Facebook and Twitter pages...

The more you like it, the better chance of getting the front cover !!!

Thanks all you great enthusiasts who followed the thread...
Posting a few pix in my driveway...

Not sure how I feel..almost like post partum depression...:(

But now I can once again enjoy it as if it was a brand new car !!!!;)
