5 years in...

The larger fuel tank option was discontinued early on from what I’ve read (mores the pity!)

Hyacinth red doesn’t suit the car (IMO), unless you want a proper Q-car (the one I looked at looked at was simply too anonymous).

In all the cars I looked at, I never saw one with CCB’s.

There’s no oil pressure gauge, nor do the S cars have different turbos to the non-S cars, although they are different to those in the C63.

Wonder why the option of a larger tank was discontinued? Would be useful to have that extra capacity.

The answer’s in the used car ads.

People don’t do the mileages to want them.

Hyacinth with grey interior looks great and far from being anonymous , really stands out from the sea of black and silver ones. IMO of course.

I’d almost guarantee you’d change your mind if you saw that outdoors and in flat light. The one I looked at just blended in with the surroundings (and I was all set to buy it from the photos).

Even the guy who owned the garage said it just didn’t ’pop’ unless it was in bright sunlight. The fact that car had been on sale for 12 months should give you a clue…

How long since it had been detailed? Any colour looks flat with the usual layer of cack and swirl.

Hyacinth? New car sales, or any airport car park will tell the story: people buy silver, grey and black.

Unsold after three months? It's the price, not the spec.

It had been machine polished very recently so was (to my eyes at least) spotless.

To be fair, they offered me a trade in price on my C63 that was £2k above anyone else and they also knocked off £2k from the price, in an effort to get me to buy.

From memory, it was one of the cheaper cars up on AT in December, sold now by the look of it, which I’m glad about as the guy I dealt with seemed super honest and transparent.

Mercedes called & of course the valuation was way off what I would've wanted - I was offered £13k last week trading in against an Alfa Romeo Giulia QV & Mercedes offered considerably less than than against a 2019 C63s wagon...
The car sale/search continues...

They still have it. Reduced by the £2k from earlier adverts.

I was under the impression that it originally came with a 60l tank with an optional upgrade to 80l. But later 80l became standard.
I wish it was 100l as I at best get 340miles form it's 80l one

I'm unclear, regarding capacity but do know there are 2 sizes. Any ideas what year 80l might have become standard? 👍

From memory, I think 60 litre was standard with an 80 litre option in other markets but in the UK the lager fuel tank was standard.

Very nice.... be even nicer without the "coal mine at night" interior!

Not sure, mines a 2019 and lists it as
915Fuel tank with increased capacity volume 2

Not sure if it was an option or just standard.
My 2018 shows ‘916 Fuel tank with large volume - volume 1’ 😂 so I’d say the larger was the option?

You'd like this one then.

Too many question marks about this one. Passed from one dealer in Bradford area to another and its toppy in price for a 17 plate (IMO) Those wonky exhaust tips get my OCD working overtime too.

Nice looking thing... the exhaust tips are an easy fix. It's not like they are really part of the exhaust like the old ones.... so easily adjusted.

I’d love a go in a tuned 213 E63S

Reality is where on earth can you use the power though?! :)

Getting closer though Roger, that is lovely and a colour combination I was considering had I continued to follow the E63s erge.
Although (as you know) buying a tuned car and tuning a car yourself are two totally different things.
