Im not one for reviewing cars, I never have done before but I thought I should pass on my opinions from the E350 CDI I had the pleasure in driving over the weekend:
Due to the continuing problems with my folks (new to them) W211 E240, the car is back in with the Stealership. For the past week they had been given a brand new W212 E350 CDI with Sports pack, which my Dad has been calling the ‘Pimp Mobile’ as it was white, and had “17 AMGs fitted - and generally looks bling – (the actual dealer called it that in one of the emails ).
So, on Saturday I had a go in it and here are impressions:
The Engine.
OMFG, I don’t recall driving a car with so much go from the offset, it was a rocketship, our heads flew back on the headrests everytime I touched the pedal and its a diesel!
The exterior:
Ive never liked white cars, they look like vans, cheap looking IMO, but I must admit this car was stunning to look at, unlike most I actually like the front of the W212 and the white really made the car stand out. Paired with the Sport/AMG pack and the LEDs it was stunning. (I still dislike the back of the car though).
The Interior:
My only recent experience with modern Mercedes interiors has been a top-spec W204 Estate which I was extremely disappointed with. On the W212 however it is amazingly built, solid as a rock with great quality materials. The Aluminium trim is actual metal and cold to the touch – not just metal effect and the switch gear is top class.
I like the ambiant lighting coming from inside the dash, and the doors looked class!
Overall: A brilliant car - if I could afford one, I would get one in a second.
Sitting in Tesco's carpark, a young boy stands infront of it and gave me 2 thumbs up after pointing at it aswell
(Not the actual car).
