Any ideas?

I found a c230k down my local scrap yard so I'm getting myself loads of little things to tidy mine up but the main thin I want is the boot lock. Mine has been drilled before so I would like a replacement. Obviously I won't have the key for the new one but we all know it's not really needed if the central locking works.

So I just wondered if anyone knew a way into the boot without drilling the lock? I'd rather not damage the bootlid by using something like a crow bar as someone else might be looking for a black bootlid with lip spoiler in good condition that they don't have to respray lol. And I don't wanna be nasty and destroy it :-)

A scrapyard will undoubtedly have a battery you can connect up and hopefully open it with the lock/unlock dashboard switch.

Or do you mean to cut the switch wire and give it a feed to pop the boot? Coz that might work lol

But the battery is in the boot

There are live and earth terminals under the bonnet (on the nearside wing under a lift up flap from memory) which you can connect to with jump leads. This should power the car.
