Folks,

A friend of mine has been advised that the oil level sensor on their 2003 A140 is faulty, hence causing the dash light to come on.

They have been quoted £250 to do the job as apparently the engine has to be lifted out to gain access.

I have not looked at this to see if it is the case, so I was wandering if anyone here has done the job and can verify this.

If Ollie is about I guess he is the man to answer this or I will give him a buzz this week and get his advice.

Thanks.

I have done one before and their quote is about right from what I can remember. Give me a cal in the morning and I will look it up and double check.

Thanks mate...

Is it true that the engine has to be lifted out ?

It has to be dropped about 4 inches at the back. It can take a while to do.
