O W163 ML without Comand I am fitting a double Din unit. Removing the Audio 10 I have a radio Coax plug, what looks Like a Comand Nav Aerial Plug and a Phone Aerial Plug. The Short Black Combined Aeial is fitted on the roof.

Can I use the Nav Aerial for the after market unit?

Thanks.

Depends if its the same fitting, I had a Comand 2, and put in a Kenwood D/Din. It uses the same fakra connections that came out of Comand

You 'may' also be able to get a convertor. As posted above it depends upon what type of connection your aftermarket unit is expecting.

The GPS aerial is just that, the fact that you're using an aftermarket unit with it doesn't matter. All that is important is that the connection / plug is compatible.

Thanks,

I have a wiclic connector and the aftermaket unit was supplied with a 'GPS Active Antenna 3V-5V' with a male SMA Plug. I was hoping to make up a connector to the wyclic but if it is not compatable I can place this aerial under the dash somewhere.

Yes under the dash or on top of the cluster will be fine. The GPS signal is not blocked by plastic.
