Taking wifes car in this week for a con regass.

Sucked out 590 grams gas and no oil:eek: stuck back in 750 grams gas and 50ml pag oil, seems better will have to get official confirmation of that first before i celebrate:).

"stuck back in 750 grams gas and 50ml pag oil"
-------------------------------------------

175ml is the correct amount of oil after a full evacuate and recharge, that is the amount that was put back in mine. Too little oil will cause compressor failure/seizure.

Well as i got zero oil out i suppose 50 mg is better than none! will dig out the book at work and check, i have never got more than 50mg out of anything before car or truck.

As the 'atomised' oil is pumped around the system and mixed with the r134 gas it is reasonable to assume that when a leak occurs most of the oil escapes along with the gas.

The shogun passed it's MOT today, I think I'll bring it to KwikFit tomorrow and see if they can get the a/c cool ;)

I use a Pug 406 for work, air con packed in months ago so took it to Kwik fit, there was only 150 gas! suppose to have 800 so they said, £45 later nice and cool:)..no more windows open especially suffering with hay-fever:(...for £20 they will kill off the bacteria in the ventilation system to stop that stale smell once the air con is off.
