just side skirts left now... anyone ever drive through germany that would like to pick them up for me? Seller wont courier them!

What do people think i should do with the exhaust?

The AMG Tips i have are oval and i dont think they will really suit the bumper...
i wanted to try and stick to AMG as now i almost have the full AMG kit...

opinions welcome...

Make it visible at least.
My bloke down here could do something, but it's a fair way to travel.
I'm loving this car though Jay.
PX E55?

No way mate, this is MY car!

I have the guys here, Custom Chrome in Nuneaton, just dont know what tips i should go for...

Ah, this is the car you wanted the gear knob for then?
Don't blame you for wanting to keep it either, I still prefer a Ferrari, but could be swayed by a 560 SEC.
Ref tips, E55 AMG tips BOTH sides, so there are 4 outlets.
IMO, that would look the dogs'

EDIT, I see you say about the oval tips, was it the C36 or the C43 that had the square tips?
Maybe a double set of them then?

It needs a price ticket on it to fit in with the rest, It should have round ones in my view.

Did you get a gear knob

Its looking very good though :):)

No still waiting for GRAV to sell his car so i can have his gearknob!! havent seen anything else i like..

I have 2 interested parties from here.
If niether have it by the end of January, it will be px'd for my new toy and you can have the gear knob then;) .
You do have 1st dibs on it mate:D

They all only seem to have burl wood, ideally wanted something a little different hence interest in GRAV's one... have to say though, that Schaetz Burl knob looks nice!

It does look stunning Jay

Car's looking good. Need to do something about the silver headlight wiper arms though, IMO.

With the deeper bumper it definitely needs the skirts, doubt you'd want to wait till I go over next summer!

Re. the exhaust, I like the squared tips (like Nav's)

Looks fantastic Jay. I think the squarer exhaust tips from the C36 / E36 would suit it more. Although the oval could work, either way the exhaust definitely needs to be visible.

Would look fantastic with the side skirts to finish it off, well done :D

Not sure I'm with you on that one...I think a set of Ovals would be more in keeping with the era.

The square ones look too modern for the W126.....just my personal opinion and in no way intended to be a criticism

100% with you on that one

Where in Germany, Jay?

Ed Rudler's probably going to be shipping my car home from Düsseldorf in the next couple of weeks (law suit permitting). Maybe if the skirts could be in the same place, he'll bring them over too...

Failing which, I'll be driving it back once as I'm mobile again, bit according to my consultant, that could be 2 or 3 months away.

I'll have replicas of the set I bought available around Christmas time, The moulds are being produced as we speak.

Do make sure you buy the right skirts, they were two pieces items for the second generation SEC not the one piece ones that regularly appear on Ebay.de

I have a scanned copy of the bodykit page of the original brochure for the W126's (it's a PDF) that shows you what AMG "Factory" was at the time. I'll email this to you as I have no idea how to get from a pdf onto here.

Navs car is very nicely finished, I'm just not keen on the clear lights or the twin square exhausts, but they are minor personal details and neither fall into the "Barried" category, just not my taste.:)

Looks nice though, I'm not a fan of blacked out windows....probably an age thing;)

Blaibach is near Nurnburg....old East Germany and near to the Czech border by the looks of things.
