AMG / C63 insults

Gentlemen

i think its fair to say there have been a huge number of insults, snide remarks, digs etc etc made regarding AMGs and specifically C63's
all in good humour...i dont think !

These comments are in my opinion directed at the owners/drivers of such vehicles and i have to state that some or all of the comments and insults are both inaccurate and unreasonable

If these comments were directed at another sub group on this forum i wonder would the admin team do something about it?

If we respond with personal insults i would expect the admins to take action
-in fact i remember the admins closing a thread when the AMG boys "returned serve"

If the insults continue i think you will drive the AMG or at least some of them away - i know some hardly post now because of the tediousness

This forum is potentially excellent although several have warned collegues to stay away as there were a lot of muppets on this forum - ( this is true even though you may wish to not believe it )

Mercedes has always been a premium brand and within that AMG and its variants are also premium

I dont much appreciate being referred to as a loadsa money chav credit using
blah blah blah and i dont wish to demonstrate my means either

yes there are several types of AMG boys on this forum
detailers, performance junkies and old timers ( i will happily take a seat in the third section ) but in my meetings yes at glorious bluewater and the like
I have never met anything other than quality decent individuals

so i put it to both the admins and to those who would deny being offensive
carry on if you wish and you will drive us away

Oh and before you all deny it im happy to print a list of names
but hey the weasels know who they are

i would respectfully ask the admins not to remove this post or to close the thread just yet

and i would suggest that the use of the word "muppet" and "weasel" dont warrant a ban even though i am a C63 driver

Ive shown some of these threads/insults to non Merc folk and there reaction was total dismay

I'm on the outside looking in and find all rather amusing to be honest, like I'm looking at a bunch of kids in a primary school playground.

The same was asked of a certain group of drivers first...it fell on deaf ears, so the current situation developed.

I'm quite happy to chill out as long as it goes both ways.


BTW...I saw your comment in the Scandinavian driving thread....

The C63 topics do go on a wild course. I'm not sure though that it would be that much different if not 'AMG' specific though. It tends to be on controversial topics such as PCP.

The fact that the posters blow up rather than joining in the debate is down to them.

Ultimately, if they had posted in general W204 terms I suspect that many of the threads would go the same way.

Should AMG be deserved specific respect?

I've got to admit that since what I 'thought' was a bit of banter early on was taken the wrong way, I've kept out of these seemingly endless C63 threads over the past few days.

It's quite embarrassing to watch to be honest and I am sorry that I've been seen as a major 'instigator'.

Neither 'side' comes out of the whole thing looking good I'm afraid and I will not be posting on anything related to the C63 again, so as not to contribute to any sort of needle.

oh please you do make me laugh! If you bother to look beyond your nose, you will see I rarely participate in the AMG threads, but in the most recent have remarked how you would be mad to buy on anything but PCP given the current offers.

I can't quite understand why this is happening either. No other AMG variant appears to attract such negative comments toward the owner/drivers than the C63.

Any prospective C63 owner contemplating joining up will certainly have 2nd thoughts if they read through the insults thrown around in numerous threads where the C63 is mentioned.
The "other" forum appears, so far, not to have sunk so low as members openly insulting each other, so why is it happening here?

Can the guys responsible give us a clue why?

@Red220. Sure, the comments can be ignored, but IMHO they shouldn't be posted to start with.
I thought this was a friendly forum, but sometimes I read and wonder.

Actually the original accusations were that anyone who didn't drive a C63 hadn't got any balls and couldn't afford a C63, otherwise they would have one.
This went on for months and was tiresome, but...now the boot appears to be on the other foot, you all start crying.

Excuse me. It's you that makes that inference not me.

I agree that there are some members who perhaps do express this, but I think it's the general PCP versus buying outright point that they make.

Frankly it makes no difference to me, so why would I be squirming?

Look at controversial threads - you will see a Doncaster tag on everyone. Do we Doncasterian's moan? No we have a thick skin and get on with it.
