So, we made it to Ludwigsburg about an hour ago. First refuelling at Düren this morning showed this:
Actual brim to brim calculated out to 27.6mpg and the journey included the usual stop/start on the M25 yesterday and the same on the Brussels Ring today. Not too shabby.
Lots of traffic, roadworks and other restrictions means that there hasn't been much opportunity to open the car up, but the leg from Düren to Ludwigsburg did provide for a couple of 140mph+ bursts and the E63 achieved 26.3mpg at the last fill-up. Who says 5.5L V8's have a drink problem?
Just waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive and the festivities will begin!
