Thanks Tony, these are the first few ones I've taken! Still have to upload the rest of them. Would be great to see the pics and video's from Jackie

A little video after the trip :D
Looks like you hit it lucky with the traffic if that short clip is anything to go by. I normally end up meeting at least one bus on a blind hairpin when I go over the Stelvio

I had to compensate for not being able to go for AMG trip and went on Stelvio and number of other passes last week. Stelvio was deserted on Friday night and Saturday morning. By morning I mean 8.00-9.00am.

From all the passes I drove, I liked Grimsell and Sussten the most. Tailgated two Ferrari from UK on the last one.

Hi Phil,

Yes we were quite lucky with the traffic, only met a recovery truck coming down and a couple of cars!

Will definitely want to explore the area and hit a few more passes around there :)

While the Stelvio is unquestionably the most scenic of the high passes I agree that there are more enjoyable ones from a driving perspective. Sustenpass is great as are many of the other Swiss passes - the trouble is that the Swiss have become totally uncompromising wrt exceeding the speed limit even by very modest amounts, which tends to take the gloss off it a bit :(

Good bit of footage, Don :thumb:

Looking forward to seeing some more (and Tony's).

BTW, that's an irritating squeal on your brakes...

Cheers Phil,

Will upload more soon :thumb:

The brake squeal is really annoying and soon to be fixed (hopefully) at MSL, it was supposed to be fixed before the trip, but due to the wrong part from Merc, didn't get time to get it done...

There were plenty of opportunities (taken) for exploring the limits of AMG engine performance :thumb:

German countryside hamlets with 60kph & 70kph limits were not amongst them.

Apologies for the lack of excitement / carnage (*)

:p :D

We we sticking together as much as possible whilst enjoying the scenery. I can assure that whenever there was an opportunity, we certainly explored the AMG engine performance :bannana:

No point overtaking when there's a whole bunch of people behind you in convoy :D:rock:

But at first, I was Driving Miss Daisy :D:ban:

I thought Chris was pretty subdued through France and Belgium and DMD not sure if it was the strict enforcement from the long arm of the law or more probably was still in recovery mode after his latex fun with customs.:D

We did have a helicopter escort in Belgium...
