AMG insurance poll

Well I think I need to shop around! I tried Adrian Flux and they quoted £1400. The Peter Best option is interesting, but i already have a modern classic car policy on my 328i convertible.

Is this for TP F&T, interested to know if any of those values included class1 insurance cover, ie can be used to travel during the day at work.

I imagine that most (if not all) of those would be fully comp - mine was :)

At a guess, I reckon very few people do TPF&T these days - there's little difference in premium as most of the risk is for injury and damage to the TP (whiplash claims, courtesy cars etc).

On occasions, fully comp can be cheaper - and some insurers refuse to quote for TPF&T on certain vehicles anyway.

Wait till anyone with a SL55 renews, its on the highly crashed list now and is £££
For the Jag I pay £600 on a private car policy, the same company wanted £1500 for the SL !

After much research got it for £510 using my ncb with RSA just myself driving. Note this was through Go Compare as the insurer approached directly was £1300 - go figure ?

We are classed as living in Birkenhead now which has increased anything I own by 30%
