Did you know that if I take my M271 to Brabus (down the road from me) they can:

Tune the ECU plus change the airfilter
Change the complete exhaust system for their sports system plus back box
Add illuminated sills and chrome door pins

and in so doing give my C180 200bhp:)

........just a thought!

Have you looked towards kleemann? They have a tuning program for the 180 that is very reasonable taking it to the same output as a standard 230k dropping the 0-60 times by just over a second and a half, top stuff :)

PS. Brabus :D I very rarely see them, to be honest I've probably only seen two on the road in my life and I sell cars for a living! how bad is that? There is a customer of ours with a stunning brabus with a reg plate that reads DENIM... they're a clothing company obviously :D I think its on a maserati now though

I voted Brabus. But then I'm biased. I've got one! And it's real Smart! :D :D :D

Aaaaaaaaargh , my eyes my eyes ......

The dreaded Brabus AMG comes to town .......

Those exhausts are shocking

The exhausts do look out of place/odd BUT were NOT designed for the W124 which would normally have a big dual twin angular exhaust like the one on KLPs former Brabus W124. On the W203 those exhausts (as on the W124 pic) would look good.

The pics of the W124 appear to me to be an after market Brabus "customised" job and the car does not even have a Brabus body kit, and those alloys were not available when the W124 was actually in production/tuned by Brabus…

Well I am lucky enough to own the both the largest and the smallest engined Brabus's ever produced. In my opinion AMG was finished when purchased by Mercedes. It is pure badge engineering unfortunately the Smart is more badge engineering. My W140 is a very different kettle of fish. The only visible signs is the twin slash cut exhaust and maybe the 19" wheels. (no badges). It will hit 60 in mid 4's only limited by the grip of the tyres and 125 in high 11's. Impressive for a 2.25 tonne Merc when you consider a porsche 996 gt3rs and a ferrari 360 stradale need 13's to do the same. Brabus every time.

Love those 'slash' exhausts !

Shame Brabus went away from them

Unless i'm completely mad i believe I've ordered the slash ones.......I guess we'll find out shortly

 Crikey. I expected yours to be quick but 0-125mph in less than 12 seconds is incredible!!

I am seriously interested in getting the “old skool” angular twin back box or “slash” design for my W203 now after speaking to Brabus today.

I have been in touch with Brabus and it is available in this design for £750 (ish) plus VAT and extra for fitting and was quoted approximately £150. I may possibly wait until Spring for the back box IF I still keep the car as salt/grit from the winter will attack/corrode the chrome tail pipes. The exhaust would have to be ordered from Germany as no stock in UK.

There are two types of designs for the back box available for the W203 as well as the quad setup.

Salt/grit will have no effect on the backbox or the tailpipes. I don't know how you could consider spending £750 on a backbox that *would* corrode!

If you don't wash salt immediately off alloy wheels/i.e. "chrome" grill ASAP then after a couple of days it will start to "corrode" and make tiny specs/spots/blemishes on the chrome finish!

This winter leave your chrome grill/star/side strips covered in grit and after a while when you wash the car you will see what I mean...!!!

Project Khan took delivery of a Brabus S Class today. saw it being taken off the delivery vehicle whilst heading to Tesco's

There was a SL with the V12 reg on the the delivery vehicle too, so i imagine they will either be getting that in for some work, or it was on its way elsewhere!

was a black mercedes truck moving them about too.

If only I had bought that Mobile phone that takes pictures!

Yes, the Smart is mostly badge engineering, but would you want to go any faster in one??

Good spot Bobby! So I was right, but did you notice that they are only selling parts for larger Mercedes models not A,B or C Classes?! I wonder if that is policy or coincidence?

Not long to wait for mine now:)

Only “Stage 1” of the MB take over of Brabus has been implemented which covers the newly released vehicles W221/216 and new M class.

Tuning work for other current models i.e. W203/211 etc. has not been implemented yet with the take over.

Off topic: Carlson have just launched a "hot" body kit/styling package for the R230 AMG SL and have tuned it to do a max speed of 208MPH and 0-60MPH in under 4.5 sec!!!

Brabus for me even though I've got an AMG. Specifically I'd want an EV12 :D

And, and, and...

...go on tell us all about it!!

A couple of quick exhaust photos on my phone.
